Build your business with referrals

Referrals are a fantastic, and cost effective way to build new business. Many salons rely on word of mouth referrals to keep their business going, so why not encourage your clients to get onboard with an incentive. 

Our salon software has a great feature where you can automatically send an SMS or email to an existing client who has referred a new customer. It’s all part of the referral program. 

Once setup, the messages are completely automated from the salon software. The template message gives you the option of adding both the new client and referring clients name. 
For example; Hi Lisa, thank you for referring Mary to our salon. Word of mouth is very important to us and to thank you we would like to offer you $10 off any service. Simply present this message on your next visit. 

It’s really easy to keep track of what’s happening within your referral program. The software will even show you how much the referred client has spent. 
Here is an example: Mary Smith was referred by Lisa Jones. When we go to Lisa Jones’s client card in the referral section we will see how many clients Lisa has referred and the total spend of those clients. (Lisa Jones. Referred 3 clients total spend is $900). 

 Once you have setup your referral program, it’s time to let your clients know about the program and its benefits. You can do this in many ways including: an email newsletter, SMS marketing, social media sharing, website post and marketing material in store It’s important not to underestimate the power of social media. Platforms like Facebook and Twitter are a great place to connect with your clients and get them sharing info and promotions about your salon. You can use social media to share tips, gather online reviews and even ask clients to post photos and tag your page. 

 Remember, a referral program will only work if you’re keeping your current clients happy! Customer satisfaction is the number one priority for your business especially when you want to build referrals.
